The Institut Français is the public institution responsible for implementing France's foreign cultural policy, in coordination with the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture. It acts as France's cultural ambassador to the world, promoting cultural exchange, education and dialogue between societies in an international context.

Its mission is to support French creators and cultural and creative industries in their international projection, strengthen dialogue between cultures and societies, promote the French language and multilingualism, and boost French cultural cooperation networks abroad.
