Alfredo Álamo

Alfredo Álamo (Valencia, 1975) is a science-fiction writer whose works have won eight Ignotus awards and a Domingo Santos fiction award. Álamo's published works include short stories in magazines and anthologies, novels such as Kobold and Mañana será tierra, YA novels such as Tormenta and Plaga, and the microstory anthologies Lunarias and Bestiario infame de la ciudad adormecida. He has written works in the bizarro genre with satirical, absurdist and surrealist touches, including stories such as 'El detective que tenía mariposas en el estómago' and 'Morder el bordillo'. In 2021 he founded the La Magnífica publishing house with Raquel Vallés. His latest novel, Afterpunk, was published by Ediciones El Transbordador.
