End date

When

Where
Fabra i Coats. Function room (3rd floor)

In this activity, partway between round table and show, the playwrights and performance professionals Loredana Volpe and Alberto Rizzo demonstrate their experience bringing texts from fantastical genres to the theatre. They will share the experience of directing and performing their own and others’ texts, from Calvino to Lovecraft, accompanied by a dramatised reading of Italo Calvino’s La distància a la lluna (with the performers Sara Mebarki and Joan Ignasi Martí) , and from the play L’habitació tancada (with performances by Marc Pujol and Loredana Volpe). The text of L'habitación tancada, directed for theatre by Volpe and recently published by Ediciones Mutis in an edition with illustrations by J. Prado and a foreword by Javier Calvo, plays with Lovecraft and other classic literary terror referents.
