Gerard Guix

Gerard Guix (Vic, 1975) is a writer, playwright and teacher at the Ateneu Barcelonès’ Writing School. As an author, he has published nine novels for adults and young readers, some of them translated into Spanish and French. He was also given Pin i Soler Novel Award and the Joaquim Ruyra Award for Youth Fiction. As a playwright, he has premiered around a dozen plays and won the Fundació Romea Award for theatre texts, along with several nominations for the Critics’ Awards. His last play, Dirrrty Boys, was a hit with audiences and critics last season and can be seen this spring at the La Villarroel. He also just published a young reader novel, Un far a la fi del món (La Galera).
