Guillem López

Guillem López (Castellón, 1975) is a writer and one of the leading figures of fantasy literature in Spain. Usually, his works straddle the genres of dark speculative fiction and weird horror. To date, he has published nine novels, as well as various stories and essay-style articles. His literary works include Arañas de Marte (2017), Lago negro de tus ojos (2019) and the recent Ardiente sol de la infancia (2023). López has also won the Ignotus Award for best novel on two occasions (for Challenger and La polilla en la casa del humo), the Kelvin 505 Award (for Challenger) and the Spirit of Dedication from the European Science Fiction Society. He currently teaches on the Master in Literary Creation at the University of Valencia, and he also teaches courses in literary creation and introduction to fantasy literature.
