Jordi Balló

Jordi Balló (Figueres, 1954) is a professor of Audiovisual Communications and director of the Creative Documentary Masters course at Pompeu Fabra University. He has also written the books Imágenes del silencio (Anagrama), Conèixer el cinema and Cinema català (1975-1986), as well as contributing to the La Vanguardia newspaper. He was director of exhibitions at the CCCB and the curator of “El segle del cinema”, “Hammershøi i Dreyer”, “Erice-Kiarostami. Correspondències” and “Pasolini Roma”. He received the City of Barcelona Award for his exhibition project“Todas las cartas. Correspondencias fílmicas”. La llavor immortal (Anagrama), which he co-wrote with Xavier Pérez, is now a classic on myth-based plots in literature and cinema, many of which are fantasy-genre stories.
