Mònica Batet

Mònica Batet (El Pont d’Armentera, 1976) studied Catalan Philology at the URV and works as a Catalan teacher and editor. She has published five novels and a short story collection. Some of her stories have been translated into English, Spanish, Polish and Greek. She won the Just Manuel Casero Novella Award for her first novel, L’habitació grisa (Empúries, 2006). Her second, No et miris el Riu (Meteora, 2012), was a finalist for the Crexells Award. Nou illes al nord (Més Llibres, 2019) earned her the Nollegiu Award. She recently published Una història és una pedra llançada al riu (Angle Editorial).
