Mònica Miró

Mònica Miró (Barcelona, 1969) holds bachelor's degrees in Latin Philology and French Philology and a master's in the History of Religions. A professor, writer, translator and disseminator of the classical world, she has taught at the UB and UPF and has been a tutor and consultant in the Arts and Humanities degrees at the Open University of Catalonia. She currently works as a teacher of creative and literature writing and the classical tradition at the Ateneu Barcelonès’ Writing School. Miró has published numerous studies on Latin language and culture, French literature, the anthropology of religions and Catalan language and literature. She is also the author of four poetry collections and has compiled and translated a sample of Latin funerary epigraphic poetry from Latin to Catalan and Spanish under the title of Perennia (Godall Edicions, 2015 and 2016).
