Montse Mazorriaga

Montse Mazorriaga (Viladecavalls, 1972) is a scriptwriter and comic illustrator. She studied Humanities and Graphic Design, although she is largely self-taught. She has also spread the word about comics via workshops at libraries. Her first publication, Santi, Jordi, la princesa i el drac, an illustrated album on family diversity, came out in 2016. In 2019, she published Nellie Bly, diario de una viajera, a graphic novel for young readers. She has also published Una mujer, un voto (2021), Mil brujas and Paz, the last two aimed at raising funds for different social causes. In 2022, she was a finalist in the ARGH! Scriptwriting Award and recently published the graphic novel La luna de Verne (Serendipia, 2023), an alternative history that plunges into the imaginary of Jules Verne.
