Steven Erikson

Steven Erikson (Toronto, 1959), an archaeologist and anthropologist, is one of the most prominent voices in contemporary epic fantasy thanks to his ten-part series Malazan: Book of the Fallen, one of the most ambitious and boldest series in this genre in recent decades. Originally published between 1999 and 2011, Malazan has managed to cultivate a loyal readership in the leading languages around the world. Gardens of the Moon, the first volume in the saga, was a finalist for the World Fantasy Award in 2000. The author has recently published with Nova, where his entire oeuvre is being reissued to incredible success, including The God is Not Willing, the first direct sequel of Malazan.
