Catalan Book Week is a cultural event that takes place every year in September in the city of Barcelona.
First held in 1983, Catalan Book Week is an annual event that never fails readers. After forty editions, it has established itself as one of the country’s leading cultural events in terms of projection, turnover, participants, visitors and dissemination.
It aims to remain a driving force for promoting books in Catalan, contributing to the growth of readership in our language and helping to build a freer, more educated country.
This meeting place for readers is also a special showcase for the richness, diversity and potential of the Catalan-language publishing industry, where discoveries can be made and conversations shared, and new releases, backlist titles and magazines in Catalan are all at your fingertips.
Visitors can purchase new releases and backlist titles in Catalan and enjoy a wide-ranging, high-quality programme of activities about books in Catalan.
