Companyia Les Solidàries
Durruti, t’estimo
Rock musical - Barcelona
Anarchist militant Buenaventura Durruti, a key figure in Barcelona’s history and world history alike, comes to life in this rock musical by Companyia Les Solidàries. The script and music for the story of this trade unionist and revolutionary are by the journalist and writer Tuli Márquez and the musician Guillem Caballero, whom you may know from Els Surfing Sirles or Chaqueta de Chándal.
The two of them recreate the life and thought of Durruti, son of a rail worker from León and a key figure in the workers’ struggle of a century ago, at a particularly turbulent time between the end of the monarchy, the Republic and the Spanish Civil War. In this musical biography Tuli Márquez focuses on Durruti’s companion, Mimi Morin. Have you heard of her? She was a key, yet overlooked figure in both the feminist and anarchist movements.
