Route of the Seguici de la Mercè to plaça de Sant Jaume: plaça de la Mercè, Ample, Regomir, Ciutat, Pl. de Sant Jaume.

When the bells ring in the Basilica (12:00 p.m.), all the groups of the Seguici Popular de Barcelona perform the Esclat de Festa, dancing all at once. Immediately afterwards, the Seguici de la Mercè begins its journey to plaça de Sant Jaume, where it arrives around 12:15 p.m. The Municipal Band accompanies festive figures such as the Capgrossos Macers, the Gegants de la Ciutat, the Cavallets Cotoners, the Àliga de la Ciutat, the Mulassa, the Drac and the Gegants del Pi and from Santa Maria del Mar. Also the Lleó, the Bou, the Víbria, theTarasca, the bastoners and the Falcons.

Upon the arrival of the Seguici de la Mercè at Plaça de Sant Jaume, the long-awaited Ball of the Àliga and the Gegants de la Ciutat takes place. One of the most significant moments of the Festa Major de la Mercè.

Once finished, the Procession continues its parade to the Palau de la Virreina, through Pas de l'Ensenyança, c/ de Ferran, la Rambla and Palau de la Virreina.
