Some of the "agents" who contribute to maintaining order and making everything work as it should in the city are not human beings but... horses and dogs. They are members of the mounted and canine sections of the Barcelona City Police which, as every year, organise an exhibition as part of the La Mercè festivities. At the Escola Municipal d’Hípica de la Foixarda ("Foixarda Municipal Equestrian School") in Montjuïc you have a double exhibition, with free admission but limited places:

Equestrian exhibition (30 min)

A choreography of equestrian figures to the rhythm of the music, with the participation of the riders dressed in the uniform of the Guardia Urbana. Don't miss an equestrian carousel that has prestige all over Europe!

Dog Show (30 min)

Next, the Foixarda school will be the scene of the exhibition of the Canine Section of the City Police. You will see dogs perfectly trained in order to carry out tasks to support the agents.
