Sociologist

PhD in Sociology, associate professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and researcher at the ICREA [Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies] Academy (2021-26). She runs the ISOR research group, which specialises in the Sociology of Religion and Culture.

Also a member of the International Scientific Council of the European Institute of Religious Studies at the École Pratique des Hautes Études and vice-chair of the International Sociological Association’s Research Committee on the Sociology of Religion.

Griera i Llonch has been a visiting researcher at the University of Amsterdam, Boston University, the University of Exeter and the University of Strasbourg. Her research has focused on the intersection of religion, spirituality, politics and heritage in contemporary Europe, and she has published numerous books and articles on these topics.
