Barcelona’s shops and markets offer you everything you need for Christmas 2021: recreational and cultural activities in all districts, installations, Christmas fairs, the Responsible Consumption Fair, the Christmas Festival in Plaça de Catalunya and more. All this, and the chance to enjoy the illuminations and the Christmas atmosphere as you shop in your neighbourhood.
The city’s retail associations are teaming up with the Department of Commerce, Catering and Consumer Affairs to offer another Christmas full of cultural, recreation and artistic activities so everyone can enjoy the city’s festivities.
Barcelona is premiering new designer lighting this Christmas in Plaça de Catalunya and also along Gran Via and Carrer d'Aragó. In all, there will be nearly 400 illuminated street sections, thanks to collaboration with the city’s neighbourhood retailers. Stroll the illuminated streets and enjoy the video of the Christmas City!
Organisations are back this year to showcase their products and raise awareness of good practices in responsible and local consumption at the Responsible Consumption and Social and Solidarity Economy Fair in Plaça de Catalunya.

A series of twenty Christmas cards, featuring historical images of all the city’s districts have been produced, with the collaboration of city shops and markets. The postcards will be distributed by city shopping areas and markets.
