Great moments of the Cultural Regatta

You won’t want to miss the highlights of the Cultural Regatta. Unrivalled artistry and passion will be on display at events such as the Barcelona 2024 America's Cup Ceremony that will open the Match Race Final of the regatta, which will be followed by viewers all over the world. Or the event showcasing Barcelona’s artistic creativity in the Race Village, right at the heart of the regatta.

Barcelona 2024 America's Cup Ceremony

On October 10. Bogatell beach.

The ceremony for the Match Race Final from the 37th Louis Vuitton America’s Cup will be one of the most significant moments of the Cultural Regatta. Barcelona will once again take the spotlight and act as a source of inspiration with an event headed by the Fundació Barcelona Capital Nàutica and that will capture the world’s attention.

The Bogatell Beach provides the scene for a high-impact and original show. Visual poetry and technology will be used to generate emotion and remind of everything that unites us as humans and the goals we work for together. 
 

Classical music at the beach with today’s finest conductors

On 11 and 12 July, Sant Sebastià beach. 

The Orquestra del Gran Teatre del Liceu, the choirs of the Palau de la Música Catalana and the OBC Orchestra will be offering two free concerts at the Sant Sebastià beach with today’s finest conductors: Gustavo Dudamel and Ludovic Morlot

And with the intention of taking music to vulnerable groups who can’t get to the beach, the children’s choir sections of the Orfeó Català will perform at homes for the elderly in the Barceloneta neighbourhood. And the chamber choir from the Palau will perform at the Hospital del Mar. 

All the concerts are an initiative of Barcelona Obertura.
 

Barcelona’s artistic creativity at the Race Village

From 30 August to 20 October. Moll de la Fusta.

The Race Village, which will be set up at the Moll de la Fusta throughout
the competition, will be one of the benchmark areas of the America’s Cup and the Cultural Regatta

From 30 August to 20 October, the Race Village will be a window onto Barcelona’s artistic creativity, with over 24 free performances of folk culture, street arts, dance, circus and music on weekend evenings. 

Ciutat Vella  will have a own programme with proposals from the district’s schools, organisations and cultural facilities, made especially for this occasion.

A special edition of Barcelona's oldest and most prestigious Habaneras gathering will take place coinciding with the America's Cup.

The 38th Grand Havaneres Get-Together “Barcelona cara al mar” includes performances from groups such as Crema Catalana, Boira, Ultramar and Port Bó, with the collaboration of Coral Mediterrània, the choir from the Casal de Gent Gran Mediterrània de la Barceloneta.  

Exhibition of Catalan catamarans

During the America’s Cup, Barcelona will be hosting the largest ever exhibition regatta for patins de vela, or Catalan catamarans. The exhibition will take place in September, and the Catalan patinaires will be sharing the race course used by the teams taking part in the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup. It is expected that a record 300 Catalan catamarans will take part.
