The show that will open the Match Race Final from the 37th Louis Vuitton America’s Cup will be one of the most significant moments of the Cultural Regatta. Barcelona will once again take the spotlight and act as a source of inspiration with an event headed by the Fundació Barcelona Capital Nàutica and that will capture the world’s attention. With 1.000 drones!
Barcelona’s artistic creativity at the Race Village

The Race Village, which is set up at the Moll de la Fusta throughout
the competition, is one of the benchmark areas of the America’s Cup and the Cultural Regatta.
From 30 August to 17 October, the Race Village is a window onto Barcelona’s artistic creativity, with over 24 free performances of folk culture, street arts, dance, circus and music on weekend evenings.
Ciutat Vella has an own programme with proposals from the district’s schools, organisations and cultural facilities, made especially for this occasion.
Exhibition of Catalan catamarans
19 and 20 October. Barcelona coast
During the America’s Cup, Barcelona will be hosting the largest ever exhibition regatta for patins de vela, or Catalan catamarans. The exhibition will take place in October, and the Catalan patinaires will be sharing the race course used by the teams taking part in the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup. It is expected that a record 300 Catalan catamarans will take part.
The Port Olímpic becomes a Mercè Festival venue

The Port Olímpic’s Moll de Mestral quay will be hosting eleven family shows as part of the Mercè Arts de Carrer (Mercè Street Arts) programme.

A special edition of Barcelona's oldest and most prestigious Habaneras gathering will take place coinciding with the America's Cup.
The 38th Grand Havaneres Get-Together “Barcelona cara al mar” includes performances from groups such as Crema Catalana, Boira, Ultramar and Port Bó, with the collaboration of Coral Mediterrània, the choir from the Casal de Gent Gran Mediterrània de la Barceloneta.

Classical music at the beach with today’s finest conductors

The Orquestra del Gran Teatre del Liceu, the choirs of the Palau de la Música Catalana and the OBC Orchestra will be offering two free concerts at the Sant Sebastià beach with today’s finest conductors: Gustavo Dudamel and Ludovic Morlot.
And with the intention of taking music to vulnerable groups who can’t get to the beach, the children’s choir sections of the Orfeó Català will perform at homes for the elderly in the Barceloneta neighbourhood. And the chamber choir from the Palau will perform at the Hospital del Mar.
All the concerts are an initiative of Barcelona Obertura.
