Route: passeig de Gràcia/Provença until passeig de Gràcia/Consell de Cent
The road on Passeig de Gràcia has split open, releasing beasts from the underworld to flood the city with fire and smoke. Dragons, devils and fire beasts with the most terrifying appearances will parade through the streets. They’ll come surrounded by sparks, explosions and surprises; a dazzling chaos of light and sound.
You can enjoy the fire run from a safe distance, but if you can’t resist standing beneath the rain of sparks, make sure you come well protected: wear cotton clothing, sturdy shoes and eye protection, and always follow the safety guidelines. This is the magic of the Mediterranean festival, brought to life with fire and fireworks.
For participants and attending spectators:
- Wear long sleeves and long trousers: The more skin you cover, the better. If you need to walk through a shower of sparks, wear a cotton scarf around your neck. Avoid synthetic clothing, as it can ignite easily. Wear a hat to protect your entire head. Use appropriate footwear (sports shoes, hiking boots, etc.).
- Protect your eyes and ears from the noise of the fire beasts. If you have mobility difficulties, watch the correfoc from a safe location.
- No alcohol or glass: If you're thirsty, drink non-alcoholic beverages and avoid bottles and glasses made of glass, as broken glass is dangerous.
- Keep children at a distance: Children will enjoy the children's correfoc more. However, if you’ve brought them to the main correfoc, keep them away from the front row and the fire.
- Do not throw water at people attending the correfoc.
In case of emergency: If, despite precautions, you suffer burns or feel unwell during the celebration, remember that medical services and ambulances are always available in the area to assist you.
