Concert "Banda Simfònica de Roquetes-Nou Barris and Filarmonica Volere è Potere"

A concert celebrating the friendship between Italy and Barcelona

Symphonic music - Italy and Barcelona.

Did you know that Barcelona is home to people of 180 different nationalities, with Italians making up the largest group at 50,052? It makes perfect sense, then, to have a concert celebrating the friendship between Italy and Barcelona, featuring a local band and a guest band. The latter, Filarmonica Volere è Potere from Pontedera in Tuscany, is a symphonic band with a long history dating back to 1835. The group is also involved in music education. The Italian band will be welcomed by the Banda Simfònica de Roquetes-Nou Barris, a band from Barcelona’s Les Roquetes neighbourhood made up of amateur, professional and semi-professional musicians between the ages of 9 and 80.  

First, you’ll hear the Italian and Spanish bands perform solo, and then they’ll come together to play a piece that celebrates friendship and musical exchange.
