Shanna Hernández (vocals) and Guillermo Lares (samples, percussion and electronics), Venezuelans living in Colombia, are a unique duo combining the cosmic and the folkloric, the supernatural and the everyday. Plus, they get you dancing. They’re at the heart of a culture that’s seeking to reconnect with their roots and get younger audiences interested in traditional South American music, giving it an electric, modern twist. Come and dance the night away at a concert that will also feature percussionist Carlos Machado, co-creator of Surfer Gorilla, as a special guest. Mito y Comadre broke onto the scene with the album you’ll hear in Barcelona, Guajirando, released in 2023. After performing at leading festivals throughout the Americas (Festival Centro, BIME, Baile Sagrado…) and sharing the stage with bands and acts such as Breyth, Dat García, Combo Chimbita and Indus, they’re now in the middle of a European tour.
