Remember Las Bistecs, that electrified, firecracker pop duo that was capable of making a song based on Greek archaeological styles? Carla Parmenter, who was half of that duo, is back with a solo project which makes dance music from a perspective that's equal parts dark and ironic. It’s SVSTO, which sprang from a collaboration with the producer Alejandro da Rocha. Industrial and techno sound with lyrics that talk about the complexity of young people’s lives today and how difficult it is to live at a time of economic and social crisis. So what if we turn the dance floor in a space of resistance and celebration?

Onstage in Plaça de Catalunya, SVSTO will perform tunes like MIL€, the anthem of a generation marked by job instability based on striking beats and dark synthesisers; and En la pista, a tune that takes an ironic, critical look at those discos where dissidence and euphoria mix. Queer dissidence and underground culture with an incisive perspective and a beat that will make it impossible not to move your feet.
