Per fi, Israel Fernández a la nostra sèrie flamenca De Cajón!, el primer concert de la qual va a càrrec seu aquest any. El cantaor toledà debuta al nostre festival amb una proposta que serà un recorregut per tot el seu repertori. Referent indiscutible del flamenc d'avui, fidel a la tradició en el seu cante i composicions, Fernández desenvolupa un llenguatge musical tan ortodox com a propi i evolucionat. Acompanyat per Diego del Morao, un dels guitarristes més influents en l'actualitat, la percussió d'Ané Carrasco, i les palmas de Marcos Carpio i Pirulo, Fernández promet un viatge exquisit per les composicions que l'acompanyen en la seva trajectòria. «Té aquesta cosa que ningú sabria definir amb exactitud, però que és essencial i que potser es diu geni, potser virtuosisme», va escriure Gonzalo Gragera al Diario de Sevilla.
