La millor manera de conèixer-les és en el seu hàbitat natural, en el seu propi entorn, allí podem identificarles amb millor deteniment, la forma de les fulles, colors, flors, textures, olors, amb quines altres espècies es relacionen, si els agrada el sol o la humitat, etc. Conèixer les plantes i els seus beneficis ens permet prendre més consciència de la importància de preservar-les.
