Natalia vol trencar amb les regles del joc imposades per la societat patriarcal. No li agraden les flors. Vol a Marcos, sí, però no vol la vida preestablerta que ell pretén seguir.

Ell només vol sentir-se guanyador, com el seu equip quan fica un gol de penal.

Marcos no vol defraudar. Natalia només vol jugar a ser una girafa blava.

L’Holocausto de las Flores és una crítica a l’amor romàntic. Una reflexió sobre la cerca de la felicitat imposada pel capitalisme, i com influeix el nostre rol de gènere en la societat per a aconseguir-la.
