Xerrada "Patria (2016), de Fernando Aramburu (Tusquets)"

Un poble d'Euskadi prop de Donostia, dues famílies amigues. Tatxo, el pare d’una de les famílies, té una empresa de transports. Joxe Mari, un dels fills de l’altra família, entra a ETA i forma part del “comando” encarregat d'extorsionar el Tatxo, marginar-lo i assassinar- lo. A mesura que avança la novel·la, es van entrellaçant les vides dels membres de les dues famílies, enemistades i desgraciades pel conflicte que els toca viure. Patria es va publicar cinc anys després que ETA abandonés les armes. Va esdevenir un best-seller, s’ha traduït a molts idiomes i, fins i tot, s’ha adaptat a una sèrie de televisió. La crítica la va aclamar com a obra rigorosa per la seva capacitat de transmetre la realitat que es vivia als pobles bascos durant l'època del terrorisme d'ETA.
