Taller 'Distòpies i utopies, l’arquitectura i el disseny des de la postguerra fins a finals del segle XX'

Traumatitzats per la brutalitat de la Segona Guerra Mundial, molts arquitectes i dissenyadors van voler reviure les il·lusions i utopies vinculades al primer Moviment Modern, creant noves escoles Bauhaus després de la guerra.

El ràpid desenvolupament industrial i capitalista dels anys 50 i 60 va produir una visió positiva d'un futur millor, però, per una altra banda, la guerra freda, la guerra del Vietnam i les conseqüències de l'energia atòmica, portaven a unes projeccions de futur distòpiques i no gaire engrescadores.

L'arquitectura i el disseny d'aquells anys van fluctuar entre l'aposta per a la racionalitat estricta o la imaginació de la generació hippy i psicodèlica.

La crisi del model representat pel Moviment Modern va obrir la porta a un nou eclecticisme, on la fascinació pels aspectes expressius del disseny i l'arquitectura va generar el Postmodernisme.
