Anada a Ofici - Procession of La Mercè

Route: pl. de Sant Jaume, c/ de la Ciutat, c/ del Regomir, c/ Ample and pl. de la Mercè.

At 10 o’clock in the morning, the figures and groups that form part of the Seguici Popular, or Barcelona Communal Procession will make their way to Plaça de la Mercè to join the Seguici de la Mercè.

The bells of the Basilica will be rung at 12 noon, the time when the Seguici de la Mercè procession begins to make its way to Plaça de Sant Jaume, where it will arrive at around 12:30 pm. Forming part of the procession will be the Municipal Band, which will be accompanied by festive figures such as Capgrossos Macers, the Gegants de la Ciutat, the Cavallets Cotoners, the Àliga de la Ciutat, the Mulassa, the Drac and the Gegants del Pi and Santa Maria del Mar. Also the Lleó, the Bou, the Víbria, the Tarasca and the human tower builders.
