Managing pedestrians in Pl. Sant Jaume
On Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 September from 12.00 noon, a civil defence operation will be carried out to limit the number of people accessing Pl. Sant Jaume and to prevent any risks associated with overcrowding.
All access points, both entry and exit, will be controlled by support personnel/information officers from the organisation. When it is considered that maximum capacity has been reached, the access points will be closed, preventing further members of the public from accessing the square.
• Streets for entering the square only: Ferran, Jaume I and Bisbe.
• Streets for exiting the square only: Call, Micó, Ciutat, Llibreteria and Paradís.
• Sant Honorat is expected to be reserved for services only, and will remain closed to the public, but if necessary, it will be used as an exit route.
The direction of travel on the streets will be indicated with signage, fences and the presence of information officers who will redirect pedestrians towards the entry and exit routes.
