Mark Anderson in collaboration with Liam Walsh
Installation/sound art – Manchester
For all audiences
Performance in Catalan
Gongs, bells, whistles... Come and immerse yourself in a captivating world of sound in this live open-air performance, powered by a series of visually striking mechanical ‘instruments’ from Manchester, this year’s guest city. Wander through a rich and powerful soundscape that also carries a message – a resonant call that gives voice to the global social and environmental alarm of our time. Playful and hypnotic, Warning Notes responds to its audience and its surroundings. These sound sculptures are the work of Mark Anderson, an artist who collaborates with Liam Walsh to create temporary installations and performances using light, sound, electronics, kinetics, fire and pyrotechnics – sometimes spectacular, sometimes subtle and intimate, sometimes both. What if we fused the natural, industrial and technological worlds?
