Ramon Llull va ser en diverses ocasions a Barcelona. L’any 1299 va escriure-hi el Dictat de Ramon i el Llibre d’oracions, tots dos dedicats als reis. Jaume II li va concedir permís per predicar a les sinagogues i mesquites del país. El Dictat de Ramon s’ha de vincular amb la resposta que Llull va oferir al mètode de disputació dominicà, que havia donat un resultat tan incert en la disputa de Barcelona de 1263.
This object, which was found at the Barcelona Liceu Conservatory site in 2006, was restored for the exhibition organised by the MUHBA, entitled: “FIRST FARMERS/BCN. The major innovation 7,500 years ago”.

Luxurious decoration on the roof of the room or cubiculum of the owner of the Roman house on Carrer Avinyó. In the centre, there is a rhombus with the presentation of the Rape of Ganymede (“the most beautiful of mortals”, according to Homer in The Iliad) surrounded by floral motifs and moulded borders.
Saint Eulàlia’s flag is one of Barcelona’s most important symbols. Due to its state of conservation, in 2012, the MUHBA’s Department of Preventive Conservation and Restoration assembled a team of specialists in the conservation of fabrics, wood and easel painting who, together with chemists, art historians and museographers, stabilised the piece and restored its aesthetic properties.
En aquest Simposi Internacional, des de la perspectiva que poden oferir una literatura com la catalana i una ciutat com Barcelona, es debatrà la dimensió europea del Weltliteratur, tot ajudant a pensar Europa i les seves literatures. La creació, el 1827, del neologisme Weltliteratur per part de Goethe, ha estat sempre considerada l’escena fundacional de la literatura comparada.
L’exposició Ramon Llull i l’encontre entre cultures ofereix un recorregut per la vida i l’obra del pensador mallorquí on es destaca el diàleg que va mantenir amb el món musulmà.
Il·lustracions, textos i audiovisuals interactius conformen la mostra que s’ha exposat ja a Tarragona i València i que després visitarà Vic, Lleida i Brussel·les.
