Discover the territorial branch of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) in Catalonia, designed by the Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira

Following a brief introduction to the building in the lobby on the ground floor, visitors are shown a video presentation in the auditorium, which highlights the most significant features of the building, constructed in 1992, and offers a snapshot of the career of its designer, the Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira.

Moving up to the third and fourth floors, the unique architectural features of each level are pointed out. As well as exploring the design and construction of the building itself, visitors are given a detailed look at the activities that take place inside, namely those typical of a state meteorological agency: weather forecasting, climatology, research and development, the design and maintenance of observation networks, and user support services, among others.
