Open debate on urban challenges and co-responsibility in the construction of the city

"In a place like Bellvitge, which was shaped by planned urbanism but later enriched by community and cultural struggles, we propose an open, moderated debate involving urban planners, artists, residents, cultural agents, and institutions. This dialogue aims to collectively reflect on what it means to ""make a city"" in today's world.

This activity is part of the Bellvitge 2030 project, a neighbourhood initiative founded on an assembly-based, participatory, and self-managed process led by the Bellvitge Neighbourhood Association. The project encompasses various action lines for the future development of the area.

In response to pressing challenges such as climate change, ecological transition, sustainable mobility, and the housing accessibility crisis, this space seeks to foster a critical and proactive conversation on the shared responsibilities involved in city-making: Who envisions it? Who transforms it? And for whom is it being created?"
