Chronicles of Bellvitge
Activity finished
Walking route through the living history of the neighbourhood
A walking tour through the streets of Bellvitge, guided by its own residents, who will share real stories that now read like chronicles of insurgent urbanism. For example, when they barricaded themselves in the health centre for ten months to prevent its closure, or when, by night, they demolished buildings that construction companies were erecting during the day. The walk thus becomes a living chronicle of the fight for the right to the city.
In the 1960s, in the Llobregat delta, a community came together to demand the construction of schools, clinics, and basic services—and succeeded. The route will conclude with a talk-vermouth at L'HALTELL, where an open round table with residents, urban planners, artists, and institutions will discuss co-responsibility and the urban future, as part of the Bellvitge 2030 project.
