Skip main gallerySelf-guided tour with neighbourhood stories
This self-guided tour allows you to explore Bellvitge using a map that highlights several stops tied to the neighbourhood's urban and social history. The itinerary can be followed by either listening to the stories from home or walking through the streets, blending the route with first-person testimonies.
At each stop, you’ll have access to oral recordings from residents who lived through the transformation of their environment, sharing stories that now serve as chronicles of insurgent urbanism. These include accounts of when residents barricaded themselves in the health clinic for ten months to prevent its closure, when they demolished buildings under construction by night to stop development, and the daily realities of living in a Bellvitge lacking basic services, full of mud and relentless demands.
The map will be available in print at various locations around the city and can also be viewed and downloaded in digital format from the website.
