Agròpolis promotes a new intercooperation event to connect research centres and social entities

The meeting will include the presentation of a new digital tool designed to facilitate practical, two-way collaborations between research centres at Catalan universities and Barcelona-based entities linked to agroecology.

On 17 September, Agròpolis will be hosting an online session to boost links between research centres and entities from the agroecology sector, in a meeting that will give continuity to the success in terms of participation and the links that were forged at the in-person event held in February at the Joan Oliver “Pere Quart” Civic Centre.

This meeting aims to go a step further. So, the activity, which is aimed especially at entities interested in establishing links with research centres and university centres open to collaboration, seeks to be a space for meeting, inspiration and direction connection that will result in concrete collaborations.

The session is being held online on Wednesday 17 September from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm and will include the participation of representatives of the UPC, the UAB and the UB. It will begin with a presentation on the different forms of collaboration between universities and entities and following this, three practical examples of successful collaborations between universities and the socio-economic sector will be shared: Tarpuna, Espigoladors and a third company will all talk about their experiences.

A space for finding the right fit for intercooperation

One of the key points of the session will be the presentation of a new digital tool designed to facilitate practical, two-way collaborations. It is an interactive repository that will serve as a “Tinder for intercooperation” based on the needs and wishes of each entity and institution.

This platform will enable contacts to be established between entities and research groups, facilitating collaboration through final degree projects for bachelor and master degrees, internships or joint projects. So, the tool will include information both about the research centres (lines of research, contacts, linked studies, among other information) and the entities (needs, possibilities for collaboration, relevant data, among other information).

The aim of the session is to encourage all the agents involved to sign up and make active use of this new tool and to build stronger ties within the framework of the agro-ecological movement.
