Public prices remain stable going into 2026
Public and private prices for 2026 are to remain unchanged or rise in line with CPI, with some selective adjustments to specific services. The measure approved by the Government Commission affects some prices for social services, accommodation, residences, monitored housing, homecare services and the ‘Meals in company’ service, which had been frozen in 2025.

The move is intended to preserve accessibility to essential services for the most vulnerable, with specific social prices for large families and single-parent families, social services users, the unemployed and refugees.
As for private services, which include prices for facilities and municipal services, pricing will be maintained for Tibidabo, Endolla and other services. General admission to the Zoo rises from 21,40 euros to 23 euros (up 7%), after five years unchanged. Admission prices for the Park Güell remain unchanged at 18 euros following the rise applied in 2025, with admission still free for people registered on the Gaudir Més programme.
Cremation services with Cementiris de Barcelona will gradually be increased by 8% in 2026, 5% in 2027 and 5% in 2028, representing 78 euros over three years, increasing the cost from 408,74 euros to 441,44 euros in 2026. The increase will guarantee the sustainability of this model, which now accounts for 59% of burials and has one of the lowest prices for this service among metropolitan cities in the whole Spanish state.
Updates to other services
The public prices of commercial and industrial waste collection will rise in line with CPI at 2.4%.
Bicing subscription prices remain unchanged, but journey prices will rise. In the case of electric bikes this means an increase from 0,35 euros to 0,40 euros for the first 30 minutes, while for push bikes, where the first 30 minutes are free, the rise is from 0,70 euros to 0,81 euros for each additional 30 minutes up to two hours.
Environmental education activities and services such as green points and energy self-consumption keep the same prices as 2025, strengthening the message of containing costs for key services.
Prices at district facilities (community centres, leisure camps and play libraries) will rise in line with CPI and the current discounts for the unemployed or people with disabilities will continue.
Sports facilities managed by the Barcelona Institute of Sport will see a moderate rise. The main change is the offer of a one-off admission ticket with a discount of around 40% for people with disabilities who hold the Pink Card.
For the first time the new project will be introduced for new public prices for the rental of classrooms and multi-purpose spaces at municipal markets, according to the type of space.
