Itinerary to explore the bryophytes and lichens that inhabit the buildings of our cities
Lichens and other bioderms naturally colonise building materials, often seen as a form of biodeterioration to be avoided. In this activity, we will closely examine the key species, explore the concept of bioprotection, and assess the positive effects these organisms can have on urban environments. The session will take place in the surroundings of the Pedralbes Monastery, offering a unique opportunity to study these fascinating organisms in context.
