Organitzada pel MNAC en col·laboració amb el Museo del Prado, aquesta exposició aprofondeix en el paper que van jugar les imatges en les relacions entre jueus i cristians a la Espanya medieval, entre 1285 i 1492, i mostra la utilització de l’art per estimular la conversió dels jueus o la creació d’imatges i escenografies als primers temps de la Inquisició.

Els frontals de Vallbona de les Monges, la Font de la Vida dels taller de van Eyck o els retaules que va realitzar Pedro Berruguete per Santo Tomás de Ávila, entre moltes altres obres mestres, es podran veure al costat de les Cantigas de Alfons X el Savi (Patrimonio Nacional), la Golden Haggadah (British Library) o el Fortalitium Fidei (Bibliothèque nationale de France). L’exposició reuneix, a més, una rellevant selecció d’obres procedents d’una trentena d’esglèsies, museus, biblioteques, arxius i col·leccions particulars.
