Al vestíbul.

A bord dels vaixells hi viatjaven de forma habitual molts animals. Alguns d’ells eren pel consum de la tripulació, d’altres eren embarcats per ser traslladats a un nou destí. I havia alguns animals que si bé eren mascotes de la tripulació, tenien unes feines assignades, com els gats, que havien d’ocupar-se de les rates. I finalment n'hi havia d'altres que es colaven a les embarcacions per desesperació de la tripulació: rates, xinxes, paneroles, escarabats... i fins i tot els musclos, que s’adherien sota coberta.

Aquesta petita mostra aborda la relació de les tripulacions amb diferents tipus de bèsties. Moltes de les anècdotes sorgeixen d’una tertúlia que el Museu realitza periòdicament amb capitans de la marina mercant, ja jubilats.
