El Monestir de Sant Cugat és un dels exemples més importants d’arquitectura i d’escultura del nostre país. La visita al conjunt del monestir proporciona una visió completa d’una evolució històrica i arquitectònica que abasta des de l’època dels romans, el món visigòtic, l’època del romànic i del gòtic, fins a la seva projecció actual en l’entorn d’una ciutat moderna. Cal destacar el claustre amb la seva col·lecció de capitells romànics, reformat durant el renaixement, amb la construcció d’un pis superior. La visita es complementa amb el coneixement de la vida monàstica que s’hi duia a terme.
