Laboratory for exploring and thinking about the city

We invite you to rediscover urban space from a fresh perspective: that of the kaleidoscope. Just as a small twist can completely alter the patterns within this object, our perceptions and relationships shift depending on how we move, observe, and interact with the city. Architecture and public spaces function like living kaleidoscopes, constantly reflecting and transforming the social reality around us.

The proposal begins with an introductory workshop to explore the concept of the "urban kaleidoscope," followed by a guided tour of the square and the 'Calaix' of Sants. Divided into groups, participants will observe and photograph fragments of the city that embody this view: iconic buildings, underutilised spaces, meeting points, areas of conflict, or spontaneous interventions. The experience will be further enriched by the voices of local residents and community groups, who will share their personal insights into the neighbourhood.

Finally, at the Cotxeres de Sants Civic Centre, we will come together to share images and reflections, collectively creating a creative and multifaceted interpretation of the urban environment that reveals its inherent complexity.
