Do you get a kick out of snow sports? Well, you’re in luck, as we’ve got a double whammy of good news for you: the first is that La Molina, in the Pyrenees, will be playing host this January to the World Snowboard Championships, organised by the International Ski Federation (ISF). And the second is that the first five lucky people to post a comment here featuring their own personal and entertaining snow experiences will receive a free double ski pass for the period from 14 to 22 January, precisely when the World Snowboard Championships are being held at La Molina.

Officially opening at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona at 5 pm, 14 January, the La Molina World Snowboard Championships will bring together over 400 athletes from 40 different countries. The grand opening will also feature the first competition on the World Championships’ programme: the Big Air, an event set on a huge ski jump built for the occasion, where competitors will be performing special aerial manoeuvres. The Palau Sant Jordi’s facilities will also include a giant screen where the spectators can watch live footage of the jumps.
