Albena Teatre
This series of performances brings together three renowned Valencian theatre companies in a celebration of the performing arts that also aims to show solidarity with theatre professionals affected by the major storms in Valencia.
Pasqual Alapont and Carles Alberola co-wrote the script of this show, a sweet, madcap comedy that looks back at the past. With Carles Alberola as the sole performer, the play uses a box of old photographs to transport us back to childhood landscapes, recall childhood games and relive moments of discovery. All of this is woven into the joys and sorrows of a family in the 1970s.
This is a production by Albena Produccions, a theatre company founded in 1994 by Carles Alberola and Toni Benavent. They have staged around thirty plays, filmed two short films and one feature film (M'esperaràs?, [Will You Wait for Me?], 2017) and produced more than fifteen television series. They co-wrote Nit i dia [Night and Day] with Ferran Torrent for Grec 1995, and they achieved great critical and public success in 1999 with the stage production Besos [Kisses], which continued in later works, including Mandíbula afilada [Sharp Jaw] (Grec 1997) and more recently, Ficció [Fiction] (2014) and L’aneguet lleig [The Ugly Duckling] (2015).
A production by the Albena Teatre.
