The 2026 Tour de France poster: Made in Barcelona

The creative team made up of design studio SMLXL and illustrator-designer Albert Tercero were the winners of the competition to design the official poster for the 2026 Tour de France. The winning design was unveiled today in Paris, during the official presentation of the 2026 Tour de France.

The open call, aimed at professionals in graphic design and illustration, was launched by Barcelona City Council and Amaury Sports Organisation (ASO), with support from the Associació de Disseny Gràfic i Comunicació Visual (ADG-FAD).

The jury praised the winning proposal for its ability to combine the spirits of Barcelona and France, bringing a fresh, bold perspective that builds on the visual identity of previous editions, without losing its essence. Finalists also included Birgit Palma, Genie Espinosa and Marc Ríos.

The Paris presentation also included the world premiere of the Grand Départ Tour de France Barcelona 2026 film. Made entirely by Barcelona-based filmmakers, it celebrates the special relationship that Barcelona and Catalonia have with cycling.

Details about the three Catalan stages

The first stage, which will take place entirely within the city, will be held on 4 July. This will be a team time trial on a 19-kilometre circuit, starting at Parc del Fòrum and finishing on Montjuïc. The second stage will depart from Tarragona on 5 July and finish in Barcelona. It will pass through towns like Torredembarra, El Vendrell, Vilanova i la Geltrú, Sitges and Castelldefels before reaching Begues. After passing through Vallirana and Molins de Rei, the stage will finish in Barcelona.

The third stage will begin in Granollers and pass through towns such as Vic, Manlleu, Puigcerdà and Llívia before finishing in the French town of Les Angles.
