Road closures for the women’s La Vuelta
The competition starts in Barcelona, with a team stage against the clock being held entirely within the city on Sunday, 4 May. Traffic will not be able to circulate anywhere around the route from 10 am to 2 pm.
The route is: Pg. Gràcia – Provença – Aribau – Av. Diagonal (central section, side nearest the mountain) – Pl. Francesc Macià (side nearest the mountain) – Av. Diagonal (central section, side nearest the mountain) – turn of 180º at Pere Duran Farell – Av. Diagonal (central section, side nearest the sea) – Pl. Francesc Macià (side nearest the sea) – Av. Diagonal (central section, side nearest the sea) – Muntaner – Mallorca (opposite direction) – Pg. Gràcia.
Other road closures
Saturday, 3 May, at 3 pm:
- Pg. Gràcia (central section). Car park entrances and exits to be kept clear.
- Provença, from Pau Claris to Rbla. Catalunya.
- Mallorca, from Pau Claris to Balmes, allowing the circulation of traffic intersecting Rbla. Catalunya.
Sunday, 4 May, at 7 am:
- Pg. Gràcia (all road surfaces), from Pl. Cinc d’Oros to Aragó.
- Pau Claris, from Av. Diagonal to València.
- Rosselló, from Balmes to Pau Claris.
- València, from Balmes to Pau Claris.
- Rbla. Catalunya (both sides), from Còrsega to Aragó.
Traffic circulation will gradually be reestablished as the organisers remove elements from streets, with the set in Pg. Gràcia the last point to be disassembled. The process is expected to end around 8 pm.
Parking
Parking will be prohibited (including motorcycles on pavements) in the whole area around the route. The first restrictions start at 7 pm on Friday in Pg. Gràcia and the surrounding area. It is important to check the signage in each street for disruptions and the times of the parking prohibition if there is one.
From 7 am to 3 pm on Sunday, vehicles parked in the following locations may not be moved:
- Rbla. Catalunya (side nearest the Besòs), from Aragó to València
- València, from Rbla. Catalunya to Pau Claris (both sides)
From 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday, vehicles parked in the following locations may not be moved either:
- Londres, from Aribau to Muntaner (both sides)
- París, from Muntaner to Aribau (both sides)
- Còrsega, from Aribau to Muntaner (both sides)
- Rosselló, from Muntaner to Aribau (both sides)
- Provença, from Aribau to Muntaner (both sides)
- Aribau, from Mallorca to Provença (both sides)
- Enric Granados, from Provença to Mallorca (both sides)
- Balmes, from Provença to Mallorca (both sides)
- Ptge. Mercader, from Provença to Mallorca (both sides)
- Rbla. Catalunya (side nearest the Besòs), from Aragó to València
