Programme

The concert, specially designed to evoke the magic of the festive season, features works by two of the most important Catalan composers of recent times, Salvador Brotons and Albert Guinovart. Gloria, by the latter of the two composers, which originally dates from 2019, will be performed for the first time in a concert band arrangement.

 

The Nadales catalanes (Catalan Christmas Carols), popular songs reworked by Brotons, will abound in spiritual tradition, promoting universal messages, such as love and peace. In addition to two renowned choral groups, the Cor Bruckner Barcelona and the Cor Madrigal, respectively directed by Júlia Sesé and Pere Lluís Biosca, the concert will feature the soprano Maria Hinojosa.
