En el mar de Sorolla con Manuel Vicent explores the existence of an aesthetic and moral attitude by the sea. An attitude that the two artists share in a way.
Through a careful selection of paintings from the Museu Sorolla collection, Manuel Vicent constructs a visual itinerary about the depiction of the sea and its scenes in the work of Sorolla.
At the same time, the writer uses these paintings to develop a biographical, literary and aesthetic narrative about Sorolla’s painting, the Mediterranean, its people and about Sorolla himself and his relationship with the sea.
