Observations:
The Miramar is a unique walk in the centre of the city and in Catalonia, the central axis of a very personal and model design by J.C.N. Forestier dating from 1923. The avenue which has become a viewpoint above the port, the mountain and the city is surrounded by 40 ombu trees standing in a double row. These are unusual trees, with a rich variety of colours and trunks which grow in extravagant forms. This group deserves a place among the main gardens of the Mediterranean area.
