California redwood

Carrer dels Germans Desvalls, 48

Observations:
This fine specimen is the only representative in the city’s public parks and gardens of the legendary redwood forests, gigantic thousand-year-old trees located in the mountains of eastern California, veritable biological relics of a rich past. Millions of years ago, redwood trees covered a large part of the land mass, from Asia to America.
