Carena

Her name is Mariona Moya, but you’ll probably hear her referred to as La Corcoles, a multidisciplinary artist who specialises in tightrope walking. With the name of her company, she won one of the Zirkòlika awards for H in 2024 and the prize for the best ex aequo street show at the FETEN 2024 fair for this show, created in 2023, in which she explored new ways of expression, combining risk and poetry, tightrope walking and dance, theatre and movement. As a result of this quest, the artist now presents Carena, a groundbreaking piece that is 100% in tune with our times and aims to reach the audience deeply, taking them on a journey that is equal parts visual and reflective. The most exquisite technique combines with the most beautiful artistry as the artist presents a duel with herself in which she challenges herself to play, to betray herself and to go mad. It is a journey to the abyss—as Moya herself says—in which the artist ‘howls, screams and sings from the summit so that the echo of the sound comes back to meet her again’.
